GENERA, an energy and environment international trade fair. Genera at Feria de Madrid is one of the main meeting and business points with regard to renewable energy and energy efficiency in Spain. It annually confirms its leading position in the Spanish energy fair industry and as a reference in the international scene.

The main sectors covered within GENERA are energy and environmental technologies, specifically biofuel, biomass and residual waste, coal, cogeneration, energy efficiency, geothermal energy, wind power, gas, hydraulic power, hydrogen and fuel cells, mobility, oil, energy services, photovoltaic solar energy, solar thermal energy, solar thermal electric energy and other energies.

Statistics show that 14.9% of visitors were from the installation and maintenance sector and the same proportion, 14.9%, were consultants, designers, and project developers. Energy production and distribution professionals were in attendance and accounted for 7.1% of visitors.



IFEMA is the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid. Its 30-year experience of staging trade fairs has made it the most important of its kind in Spain and one of the leaders in Europe. Its activities centre on the staging of commercial events representative of the different industries and the managing of its space and infrastructure for every type of activity: from trade fairs organised by third parties to conventions, congresses and any type of meeting or event. Coordinates the network of Chambers of Commerce in Spain and acts as its representative before national and international governing bodies, as well as providing advisory services to the Spanish government. Its mission is to promote and defend the general interests of trade, industry, services and maritime navigation.
