Coming from all corners of Europe, FinnZa’s team was also part of the matchmaking meetings at the Business Beyond Borders event during the African Utility Week 2017. This company focussing on renewable energy solutions and clean technology provides consulting services and training on renewable energy systems. With offices in both Helsinki (Finland) and Cape Town (South Africa), FinnZa signed up for the BBB matchmaking event at AUw2017 with the intention of looking for potential partners.
As one of its team members stated, “It’s always good to meet new people and exchange information to work towards possible connections that might lead to something concrete”.
Not only has FinnZA participated in the matchmaking event, it also joined the BBB Social Media Competition. Thanks to their duly efforts on social media about the event and their meetings, they have won first prize – which included, among other perks, a basket of South African goods for all the team to enjoy.
Gregory Neethling, FinnZA’s Managing Director, stated that he would encourage other SMEs to join BBB’s matchmaking events: “Of course I would recommend it. I like BBB matchmaking programme very much, it provides valuable opportunities for expanding one’s business”.
