Ahead of the upcoming Business Beyond Borders (BBB) matchmaking event at African Utility Week (have you registered for it yet?), we continue to feature our “BBB Profile” articles, in which participants from previous BBB events talk about the added value of joining our matchmaking sessions.
Representing AF-Mercados EMI, Myrto Stavrou was one of the participants of the BBB event at the Genera fair for energy and environment, which took place in the beginning of March. Describing by Myrto as “a leading energy consulting firm” which ownership belongs to a Swedish group, AF-Mercados EMI is currently focusing on sustainable energy development in the public and private sectors. Lately, the company as played an active role in supporting g
overnments with the transition to low-carbon energy.
Myrto decided to attend the BBB matchmaking session at Genera to expand the firm’s networking contacts by connecting with other businesses in the energy sector. “We’re looking for prospective collaborations in new markets, and with new services”, recounted Myrto, who is AF-Mercados EMI’s Associate Director.
“It has been an interesting event, indeed”, considered Myrto, when asked about her impressions on the BBB initiative. “The companies I’ve met with were high-level, very focused and well-prepared. I definitely think there will be opportunities to follow-up with them”.
