Business Beyond Borders’ matchmaking event at the African Utility Week 2017 brought SMEs and clusters together for new and innovative partnerships. Heleen Liebenberg, project manager for the South African – Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (SANEC) was there to take part in, and benefit from, the matchmaking event.
SANEC is a commerce organisation with offices in several European and African locations (Netherlands, Denmark, Cape Town and Johannesburg). member companies also took taking part in AUW. BBB was an appealing platform to secure matchmaking sessions and meet with adequate potential partners.
Attending BBB’s matchmaking event has also opened the possibility of expanding to new markets. Being open to new partnerships and to new markets surely serves as a terrific way to expand an organisation, SME or cluster’s potential.
Matchmaking events have a lot of value according to Ms. Liebenberg, an experienced professional on this sort of activities: it’s an opportunity to get the right people together and “a great way to make connections to do business”. As for Business Beyond Borders, Ms. Liebenberg has stated that “Business Beyond Borders is a great initiative. It is of great benefit to our companies and it adds a lot of value to the fair”.
Heleen Liebenberg was one of our welcomed participants and, as each one of them, she brought her expertise to the table, ready to connect with new potential partners. European SMEs and clusters can benefit from the Business Beyond Borders’ initiative, aiming to help them make new partners and go international.
The next Business Beyond Borders matchmaking events will take place at Texworld Paris (18-21 September), HOST Milano (20-21 October) and Trustech Cannes (28-30 November) – be sure to register your SME or clusters using the links proved!
